Lyser had mixed in the Germany-wide turmoil around the priest Johannes Ronge, who won numerous supporters with his movement of "German Catholics" and caused great excitement, especially in the Catholic regions. Lyser took the floor in the press to turn against Ronge. He had also sent an article to the Conversations Bulletin. "...
