Developed in collaboration with Pininfarina, who also produced roofs and body shells in Italy, the Azure convinced by British luxury, Italian design and imposing dimensions. With its 6.75-litre V8 turbo engine and around 390 hp, the five-metre-long Cabriolet accelerated surprisingly confidently. The elaborately reinforced body did not have a rollbar and offered four adults space on long-distance comfort levels. From 1999 the Azure was also available as a "Mulliner" with individually configurable equipment – every specimen was manufactured by hand in Crewe.
