A probably 16th century Venetian blown glass plate, having folded edge, white enamel and partial gilded decoration, featuring a Renaissance putto holding a banner inscribed "Doge Gritti" and a ducal corno (doge's cap) referencing Andrea Gritti, the Doge of Venice from 1523-1538, within a scrolling acanthus leaf border, with a shield crest, unground pontil, 26cm diameter, considered to be 16th century, mounted within a 19th century bespoke mahogany stand.
