In early 1968, Jorn was at an international cultural conference in Havana, Cuba. He realized that his participation in the conference was not very interesting, so he arranged for him to carry out a decorative assimilation. The Minister of Culture, Carlos Franqui, gift commission for Jorn to paint a wall decoration in the Revolutionary Archives (a forms American bank). Cuban photographer Raoul Correles immortalized the artistic creation process in a small book, and Jorn gift his Cuban friend four of the dozen pictures he made in Cuba next to the murals in the forms bank building in Havana.
