It takes ordinary back pins and presses its back so that it gets a flat, square back that looks like a glued book. This gives the booklets a much more professional look, preventing them from crackling up, and making them easier to stack, pack and send. The machine can be operated manually by having the operator put in booklets individually, or connected in line with compatible pin machines/hand-operated ATMs.
