Suite of seven hammam towels and sash belts, Ottoman Empire, Turkey and Greece, late 19th – early 20th century Woven fabrics of cotton or of unbleached linen embroidered at both ends of polychrome silk yarn and of slats or of metallic yarn. The decorations are composed, respectively, of vine pamps, three bouquets of flowers in vases, four roses wrapped in a serrated saz leaf, two compositions with stylized flower vases populated by birds, of a stylised floral composition rhythmic with four bright pink rosettes, of four large flowers framed with geometric friezes, of two bright pink flowers emerging from a Vase. Among the seven pieces, one large is sewn in two lees and is lined with fringes lined with turquoise beads and another of the same type is fragmentary.
