Apart of slightly corroded charcoal-black, and minute old repair in oone corner, very well done, this rug has very good pile. Fine weave, approx: 8 x 7 knots per sq. cm. Selvages, partly rebound, well done. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Touches of fraying on fringes in places. This rug is dated, AH 1296 (1878 AD). In general, this rug is in very good usable condition. Very attractive and sought after type on the market. Woven on wool warps.
