II No 407/2002 idF BGBl. The aim of this Regulation is to lay down measures to strengthen, on the one hand, the prevention of, in particular, hazardous waste from vehicles and, on, the re-use and recovery of end-of-life vehicles and their components. Certain motor vehicles, which are waste within the meaning of the Waste Management Act 2002 (AWG 2002), require permission for the acquisition and treatment according to § 24a AWG.According to § 15 para. 5 and § 5a AwG, the waste owner is responsible for the transfer of waste to authorised waste collectors or handlers and an environmentally sound recycling/disposal of the waste explicitly The delivery of this vehicle is only possible to authorised waste collectors or treaters.A corresponding proof must be provided when the vehicle is taken over!
