He who gives these lines to them is my son. He has chosen the Mahlerey out of his own choice and inclination, and I am allowed to flatter myself, not without talents, and his predetermined inclination is on horse-stukes and battles. Now he goes to Dresden to continue his studies for art there ...". Says the request, "that they [sic] give him their wisdom; allow him to bereathe himself to them, and sometimes in their room to see the princely patterns of the true beautiful emerge in art under their own hands ... My son is in the company of Mr. Freudweiler from here, a shrewd artist in Conversation and Family-Stüken, to whom they will give their friendship for the sake of his talents."
