This 3-axis portal milling machine was developed and built together with students as part of a LehrePlus project. The basis was a joint set of specifications and obligations. The wooden components were manufactured using a milling robot and then assembled to the machine. The individual components have been tested (see pictures for CE marking). The CNC milling machine is suitable for processing wood materials, plastics and cardboard. It has three axes, each equipped with stepper motors and reference switches. Workpieces can be fixed to the sacrificial plate via a vacuum table, screws or clamps. The equipment includes an electronic control, a fixed spindle, control software, a PC car (all data except the control software are deleted), connection cable and an extraction system (2.2 kWh). The vacuum table as well as a height-adjustable table improve the application possibilities and the ease of use.
