King Christian the Seventh's most recent regulations and open letters for the year 1789-1793. Hoofs, Cph. Awards for the years 1789 to 1793 bound in one volume. Bound in contemporary panelled calf. Gilt spine and wear to binding. A few pages with ink stains. Enclosed: King Christian the Seventh's most recent regulations and open letters for the years 17890-1784. Hoofs, Cph. Bound in corn panelled calf. This collection of royal awards contains, from the year 1792, p. 69, the world's first award to (partially) prohibit the slave trade. England and the United States followed with decrees against the slave trade in 1807, The Netherlands and Portugal in 1814 and France and Spain in 1815.
