Ludovica Alfrida Vilhelmine Baadsgaard was a Danish writer and painter. She was taught by the flower Painters O. D. Ottesen and J. L. Jensen (1800•1856) and later by Carl Balsgaard and O. A. Hermansen (1849•1897). She is best known for here often simple flower paintings, but we also know of still lifes with fruit and other objects from her hand. She exhibited regularly at Charlottenborg from her debut in 1876 to 1901 just as she was represented in the Artists • Association of 1. of November in 1882 and at the Women • Exhibition in Copenhagen in 1895. From 1895 and onwards she furthermore published a number of books. Minor retouches/repairs and crackles. In need of a light surface cleaning and a light tightening.
