Signed and indistinctly dated lower right, circa 1860, seated half-length in full dress uniform, wearing a scarlet tunic, a sash over his shoulder, oil on canvas, contained within a contemporary moulded gilt plaster frame with applied military badge. 90cm x 70cm (121cm x 101cm including frame). Condition: There is flaking to paint, particularly to lower half, some of which has been overpainted which is now starting to discolour.
