mid-late 19th, probably High Wycombe, including two elbow chairs, each with an arch or arcarded cross and stay rail, supported by turned spindles, the elm seats upon spindle supports united by H stretchers, four stamped with maker's initials J.A. ( x 2) & T. S. (x 2), largest elbow chair height 89cm, width 56cm, depth 49cm, single chair width 42cm. Condition: Large split to seat of one, small splits, old worm holes, some light to moderate looseness to frames, general surface wear, dark wax finish.
