One of Chagall's last graphic episodes; printed on broad-edge strong paper in the Mourlot studio. Already in 1966 he worked on a project on Mozart's Magic Flute, which was not realized. It was not until 1972 that he again devoted himself to this topic and the colour lithographs on a text by Bourniquel (1918-2013) were produced here. – Very well preserved, fresh specimen.
