Helmut Kies (1933-2016) was a member of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism and in 1957/58 as co-founder of the "Wiener Ars Phantastica" with colleagues such as Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Hutter, Anton Lehmden, Arik Brauer and Rudolf Hausner. Typical for him is the dramatic cloud formations, which became popular as "pebble sky". – Very good specimen.
