Bibliophilic salmon-coloured ecrasé leather band (backs with faded and slightly stained edges, minimally rubbed corners; signed: "Handeinband Fritzsche A.G.") with coloured leather inlays and gold-cut in OPappschuber (the latter rubbed). Leipzig, Buchengilde Gutenberg 1925. First edition, the typographical design concerned Jan Tschichold. The Austrian Collin Ross (1885-1945) was one of the most famous German-speaking travel journalists in the 1920/30s, alongside Egon Erwin Kisch, Richard Katz and Alfred E. Johann. Exemplary in the signed hand cover with geometric front cover vignette and also geometric Art Déco attachment paper, which repeats itself on the cardboard slipper. The cover was created in the renowned bookbindery Fritzsche in Leipzig, which also produced the original cover designed by Jan Tschichold. – Tadellos.
