Under the pseudonym Sagitta, Mackay wrote these books "which revolved exclusively around the affection of the mature man for the boy and youth" (Hergemoeller). The first three books here were confiscated by the Prussian authorities and banned after a lengthy legal trial in October 1909. According to the imprint of each volume printed in an edition which corresponds to the year of publication (probably fingered), handwritten numbered, only for named subscribers (here volume I numbered for the handwritten subscriben Ferdinand Rodenstein, Leipzig-Lindenau), volume V numbered (799), without mentioning the subscribed, volume II the no. replaced by a line). – Wide-ranging pressure on busts.
