IVECO DAILY II diesel 2.8L 35.8 - 239.000km - manual gearbox - 7 chairs (3 present) - Year 1998 - with towbar - and retractable access ramp - Engine number: 8140 63x _____ Starts with difficulty, - engine slams and then cuts - white smoke _____ How to Fix Today (opinion of a Mechanic, not binding) A/ You buy: - vacuum pump 170€ - diesel filter - oil filter - Engine oil - front bubbler and the 2 plastic extensions of the wheel arches: 100 to 150€ all (missing) Be careful. the right vacuum pump is the 2.8L (don't trust the VIN or the registration because they indicate a 2.5L... while the engine is 2.8L, see engine number) B/ Work to be done (by your mechanism): 1- Drain (remove) the engine oil 2- Disassemble the current vacuum pump (because bad model, it's 2.5L); 3- Disassemble / Reassemble the distribution: the engine is to be stalled through the rear gauge hole. Rear!! 4- Install the right vacuum pump 5- Replace the diesel filter and oil filter 6- Replacement new engine oil 7- Start the engine 8- If after a few minutes the white smoke does not disappear, then: - leave the injection holes open: start the engine to eject any coolant present in the cylinders; - close again, - Start.
