Artist: Georg Maul (1905–1988) Title: Abstract curved lines Technology: Mixing technology on acrylic glass Signature: unsigned Plate dimensions in cm approx.: 60 x 40 Note: Color bursts off slightly from the picture Biography: Georg Maul (1905–1988) was a Nuremberg painter and graphic artist. From 1918 to 1921 he completed a painting apprenticeship with a journeyman's examination. From 1923 to 1932 he studied at the School of Applied Arts in Nuremberg in the class of Carl Selzer. He was a master student at Max Körner's. From 1933 to 1936 he worked as a freelance painter and utility graphic artist. From 1937 to 1945 he worked in the technical and graphic service of the Luftwaffe. After the war, he became a prisoner of war. Between 1946 and 1954 he again worked as a freelancer, from 1954 to 1970 he worked as an employed graphic artist in the field of light advertising, and since 1970 he was again freelancer.
