To the feast in exile at Reims on the occasion of the victory of the French at Denaie in the War of Succession in Spanish, Vs.: Breast image in Mozzetta with Calotta n. r., Rs. : naked Fortuna dances on globe and holds building cloth, in the background three dancing satyrs and party in or in front of pavilion, Dm. 43 mm. 30.45 g. Dark brown patina, almost vz. In the Spanish War of Succession, Joseph Clemens stood on the French side against Austria and therefore fell into the fall of the Reichsacht in 1706. He fled to France and became Bishop of Lille in 1707. ==History==Maréchal Villars was born in Paris, and died in Paris. On July 1, 1712, at Denaie, 12 regiments of the Dutch and 6 battalions of the Imperial were destroyed. Joseph Clemens invited French officers and the captured Allies to the festival in Reims. Only with the peace of Baden, in 1714, could he return to Bonn.
