Possibly from a retable, the smooth undulating hairstyle and series of deep nested v-folds relate closely to English alabasters of the early 15th century, traces of polychrome throughout. 61cm high. Condition: Good colour, general marks and wear to the surface commensurate with age. Some chips and signs of woodworm. A couple of drill holes to the back, which would have been for a mount, lacking hand as they often do. Category: Furniture/Other Estimate: 1200-1500 GBP
