This example has a two boarded oak top with a chamfered edge above a configuration of three cupboards and two drawers. the top two deeply moulded doors with central cross decoration and iron handles, centred by a moulded panel again with cross decoration. Below are a pair of drawers carved to the front with stylised scroll decorations and again with iron drop handles, then central muntin to simulate a panel with a deep moulded central cupboard, flanked by two deep moulded panels, standing on stile feet. Provenance, Winchester Collection 130.8cm high 147.3cm wide 50.8cm deep. Condition: Superb piece, great colour and patina. Later timbers where the cupboard iron hinges join the body, splits to the panels of the two top cupboard doors, general marks and wear.
