Description
Piet Hein (1905-1996): Early candlestick 'Cart' in steel and brass with square foot and 7 moving arms where the light holders are in brass.
The idea for the Karlsvanen got Piet Hein in 1944 during his stay in Argentina. He missed the northern starry sky, where the chariot stands as a clear constellation.
When he returned from his stay in South America, he produced a copy of the candlestick, which he baptized the Cart. Later it came into production and this is from the first production period.
Appears with less age-related usage traces.
H. 63 cm B. approx. 44 cm. • Showroom: DK, Hørsholm
