Calligraphic wedding invitation to St. James Lutheran Church in Pskov (27 November 1912)

Description

I am selling an authentic document, over 110 years old, on thick, textured paper with decorative borders. Content: A calligraphic invitation to Emma Miller and Fricis Ozs for their wedding at St. James Lutheran Church in Pskov (27 November 1912). Historical connection: At the bottom of the invitation, an address in Riga (Matīsa Street) is mentioned, which confirms the close ties of Baltic Latvian/German families with Pskov before the First World War. Defect: One corner of the document is torn off (see close-up photo), which is natural wear for paper of this age. Overall, the paper is firm and the text is perfectly legible. Historical pencil notes have been preserved on the reverse side. An excellent rarity for collectors or history researchers.
