Erik Höglund

Description

Erik Höglund’s glasswork from the Boda glassworks can be found in many homes today, and he is widely considered one of Sweden's most renowned glass artists. However, his creative output extended well beyond glass; he was a true multi-disciplinary artist who also engaged in painting, sculpture, furniture design, lighting, and more. In this themed auction, we explore Erik Höglund as a visual artist—specifically focusing on his paintings from the period 1948–1953. This collection dates from the time before he began his tenure at the Boda glassworks and has never before been offered on the market. Welcome!Show more
