The Set Table

Description

Setting a table is about more than just preparing a meal; it is an expression of togetherness and community. A carefully set table becomes the backdrop for autumn conversations and friendly gatherings—a fertile ground for creating memories. Throughout history, the way we set our tables has reflected the era in which we live. From the ritualistic service of ancient civilizations to the lavish tables of the Baroque period, the presentation of a meal has always been an evolving art form. Today, we set our tables using a blend of tradition and innovation—a space where personal expression finds its place, and where function meets beauty. As autumn arrives and the evenings grow longer, Formstad once again invites you to our recurring themed auction, The Set Table. It is a season for hearty dinners, candlelight, and gathering around the table. Whether you are looking for unique serving platters, elegant cutlery, exquisite glassware, or decorative accents for your autumn entertaining, you will find pieces here that set the tone and add a touch of splendour to every meal.Show more
