Charity auction AVU Re-connection

Description

While the 2022 auction was a reactive gesture to help Ukraine, 2026 brings a broader humanitarian and ethical framework. The AVU community views artists living in exile, at war, or under threat as an integral part of our shared world. The title RE-CONNECTION symbolizes the act of reconnection—linking those whose creative work has been forcibly interrupted with an environment that allows them to continue.

The auction collection, comprising works by AVU faculty, students, and alumni, is an expression of professional and human solidarity. We believe that the academic environment should be a sanctuary of freedom and protection. Through this auction, we are not only offering works of art but are also becoming an active node in a support network that helps preserve the integrity of the creative individual where it is fundamentally threatened.

All works can be viewed at the pre-auction exhibition from November 13–15, 2026, daily from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Black Hall at AVU Veletržní, Veletržní 61, Prague 7.
