Calligraphic Wedding Invitation to St. James Lutheran Church in Pskov (27 November 1912)

Description

I am selling an authentic document, over 110 years old, on thick textured paper with decorative edges. Content: A calligraphic wedding invitation to Emma Miller and Fricis Ozs for their marriage at St. James Lutheran Church in Pskov (27 November 1912). Historical connection: The bottom of the invitation mentions an address in Riga (Matīsa Street), which confirms the close ties of Baltic Latvian/German families with Pskov before World War I. Defect: The document has one torn corner (see close-up photo), which is natural wear for paper of this age. Overall, the paper is firm and the text is perfectly legible. Historical pencil notes have been preserved on the reverse. An excellent rarity for collectors or history researchers.
