Stockholms Auktionsverk Helsinki welcomes you to Modern Art & Design, Autumn 2026. The catalogue comprises just over 340 lots, selected by the auction house’s specialists. Among the art, you’ll find Marika Mäkelä’s powerful work “Flora & Fauna II.” There’s also a portrait by Unto Koistinen and Anitra Lucander’s “The Pianist.” The ceramics section can show several works by Birger Kaipiainen. From Kimmo Schroderus’s 1990s come two wonderfully chunky, clumsy revolvers. And of particular importance are Rut Bryk’s reliefs. Her square tiles with abstracted motifs are significant to her artistic practice. Alongside them, glass art is offered by, among others, Timo Sarpaneva and Oiva Toikka.
