"The reproduction of this protocol was made at the request of the class members, whose wish was to have a permanent document on the lectures, albeit only in the form of a draft. In contrast to the abundance and vibrancy of the lectures, these records are disappointingly 'minor'. But since I could not find a way to meet this lack, I must call upon the good will of the class and ask to view it purely as an outline that helps the memory. For the sake of the appropriate form, I have most of the lectures, questions and discussions presented as in the words of the speaker, but in fact only the written questions are literally accurate ... The Copiens of the diagrams are not my work, but valuable contributions from another class member. Others have also given me great help by supplementing the material and by correcting it. The whole thing has been reviewed and improved by Dr. Jung." This important final sentence indicates that the many changes and additions affecting almost every page are at least partly directly by hand C. G. Jungs. - The misunderstood word "reproduction" at the beginning is probably not to be understood here as the production of several copies, but as a summary of the received lecture contents. - Extensive and highly valuable material on the content and form of the lectures of the world-famous scholar.
