Of octagonal ‘bullet’ form upon a spreading octagonal foot, the straight octagonal panelled spout opposite a modern wooden scroll handle. A gently domed hinged lid surmounted by bell form circular finial. The surround of the lid with engraved foliate scrolls and strapwork with shells, all reserved with lattice work. The side engraved with a contemporaneous crest of a lion’s head erased, per pale erminois and proper. Fully marked underneath, and a lion passant to the lid only.
