James II – William and Mary sterling silver sugar caster by Benjamin Pyne, London probably 1687 or 1689, cylindrical lighthouse form on spreading fluted foot, bayonet fitted domed lid with acorn form finial on fluted terrace pierced with quatrefoils and fleur-de-lis, applied girdle to body, engraved side with contemporaneous coat of arms within foliate scroll mantling, fully marked to side, lid unmarked, height 18.5cm, weight 338g.
