From 1974 the elegant Grand Tourer went into series production and combined a distinctive wedge-shaped body with a classic V8 front motor. The transparent rear panel with integrated rear lights was typical for the design. Technically, the Khamsin was developed under Citroën direction and received a hydraulically supported steering. By the end of 1982, only 435 copies had been produced – much less than the predecessor Ghibli.
