Large bowl designed by Axel Salto and executed at Royal Copenhagen, Denmark in the second half of the 20th century. Made of stoneware in solfatara glaze with fluted exterior reliefs. Marked with engraved signature and stamped factory logo. Diameter: 28.5 cm. Height: 8 cm. Note: This specific bowl is not marked with a model number, but similar bowls by Axel Salto are known from the beginning of the 1930s. It is likely model no. 20722, which was among Axel Salto's already existing designs that were taken over by Royal Copenhagen in 1944 along with much of his back catalog from previous productions at Københavns Stentøjsfabrik and Bode Willumsen's workshop (see fig. 227 on page 177 in the book "Axel Salto - Stentøjsmesteren" (CLAY Keramikmuseum Danmark, 2017)).
