Clerk’s manual, 15th-century chancery hand, 52 numbered leaves (1 - 31; 33 - 51; with no. 41 repeated), on vellum, with rubricated and inhabited initials, rubricated text, instructional tables including ‘Prima tabula salutatione ad sumnum pontificem’, final 5pp. in another hand, signature of the antiquarian Thomas Martin of Palgrave (1696/7 – 1771) to fore-edge flap, and initial to pastedown, also ‘John Younge’ to stub, leaves yellowed, stain in lower margin occasionally affecting text, trimmed with occasional loss to decorative borders, original vellum with yapped edges, ink inscription to spine and front panel, detaching internally, some loss to corner of lower panel, staining, 21 x 17 cm.
