[Commemorative boxing silk] Fight for the Middle Weight Championship of England. Jim Sullivan, of Bermondsey matched with Tom Thomas of Wales for £700 and the Middle Weight Championship of England and Lord Lonsdale’s Belt, 14th Nov. 1910, silk scarf with green ground, printed text in yellow, and yellow border, 900 by 900mm (35½ by 35½ inches), London, 1910.***Thomas died the following year. Sullivan fought for several more years in the UK, Australia and the USA.Provenance:From the Boxing Collection of Pierre and Anna Spake.
