The novel takes runs on time and cultural criticism of great style, and if it has remained attempts, I of course do not know how far it was the Blaustift of the publisher's editor who cut it. It is not even possible to say that, when it came to shortening, the latter has been unskillful in his office. The essence of the book is apparently preserved, and it is strong enough to work - in its fertile mixture of developmental novels and accusing time-signs. A first-time work, then?
