Description

Approx. Ø48mm, approx. 84g, original case made of silver, case and work number equal 6726, one of the rarest inhibitions, Kloben bez. " Patent Jewellery Vertical", large balance, board and dial signed M. Patry, enamel dial, gold pointer, small second, functional. ==References====External links== Debaufre escapement) is a rare, historical watch barrier with resting friction, invented in 1704 by the French watchmaker Pierre (Peter) Debaufre in London. It is considered one of the earliest modifications to make the principle of resting inhibition (deadbeat) usable for pocket watches. Due to its optical function and regional distribution, it is also known in English as "Chaffcutter" ("Häckselmaschine"), "Ormskirk" or "Club-footed verge". Two identical mirrored gears are seated on the same shaft. The teeth of the two wheels fall alternately on the pallet. While a tooth rests on the flat base (rest phase), the next tooth glides over the slant of the pallet during vibration and gives the balance a drive impulse.
