comprising an heart shaped pendant, in unmarked gold and silver openwork and claw settings, set with a pearl, 11mm, surrounded by twenty-eight round faceted cut diamonds, in two concentric rows, varying from 0.35ct, 4.5 by 3.1mm, to 0.1ct, 2.8 by 2.0mm, with twelve interspersed smaller chips, with further small diamonds set to the shaped loop, totalling at least 5ct combined diamond weight, 26 by 26mm, 38mm including loop, 10.1g, together with a similar bar brooch, of scrolling foliate design, set with eight principle diamonds, varying from 0.42ct, 5.0 by 2.8mm, to 0.1ct, 2.8 by 2.4mm, with twenty-eight interspersed smaller chips, some rose cut, totalling at least 2.2ct combined diamond weight, with hinged pin fastening and a small hinged loop, 59.5 by 23.5mm, 26.5mm including hinged loop, 9.8g., all in a fitted and shaped leather case with blue velvet lining, branded for Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent St, London. Notes: the two pieces do not not currently attach to each other, there is a threaded socket in the heart shaped pendant but no fitting to screw into it - this may have been the original method of attaching the two pieces or they may have been separated to use as individual pieces. Provenance: From a private deceased estate with family knowledge of this item dating to at least to the early 20th century. Condition: In good but worn and used condition with light scratches all over from use, various inclusions visible under a loupe but with the naked eye it looks particularly spectacular, bright and nicely white stones with few drawing much colour. The bar brooch showing a little less brightness in the stones but this could just be the setting and overall quality of the stones.
