General description A used, mobile irrigation machine in the 55–120 version is available for auction. The machine was used to water larger lawns and green areas. These include, for example, sports fields, parks and other public green areas. It can also be used for irrigation cemeteries, gardening and agricultural land. The sprinkler is mounted on a chassis with wheels. This allows it to be used at different locations. The actual achievable irrigating capacity depends, among other things, on the existing water pressure, the amount of water and the sprinkler nozzle used. Operation and propulsion The irrigating machine has a large hose drum, on which is a 120 meter long water hose. At the end of the hose there is a mobile sprinkler with sprinkler. This distributes the water on the area to be irrigated. The drive is driven by a water-powered turbine from the manufacturer BAUER. This means that the force of the flowing water is used to drive the hose drum. The turbine is connected to a gearbox. The gearbox transfers the rotation movement to the hose drum via a chain drive. During irrigation, the designed water hose is slowly and automatically pulled back onto the drum. As a result, the sprinkler truck moves over the area and waters it gradually. The speed at which the hose is drawn can be adjusted. Automatic shutdown is provided at the end of the irrigation process. Optical condition and signs of wear The sprinkler is in a used condition with traces of use due to age and use. The following signs of wear are present on the device: Scratches on the housing and metal surfaces Pollution from previous use Rost approaches and superficial corrosion of metal parts Placing of paint and damage to the surface coating Age-related wear on surfaces Traces of use on the metal chassis and on the connecting parts Wear-related wear on the tyre and the hose drum The traces of use correspond to the age and the previous use of the machine. The visual condition can be seen on the attached original photos. Operating status and functionality The sprinkler was used regularly until 2022. In 2022 it was taken out of service and then stored. During the last use in 2022, the sprinkler was fully functional. Since the shutdown, the machine has not been used regularly. During a current test, it was confirmed that the machine's irrigation function works. A complete technical test of all individual components has not been documented. This applies in particular to the transmission, the chain drive, the automatic hose infeed and the automatic shutdown. Irrigation function has been confirmed as functional. No final statement can be made about the complete technical condition of all individual components.
