The private seller offers for sale this 1973 Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1.3 S, powered by a 1.3-litre V4 engine, paired with a manual transmission. The Fulvia Coupé was introduced in 1965 and became one of the most characterful small sports coupés of its era. Its narrow-angle V4 engine, front-wheel drive, sharp handling and beautifully proportioned Lancia-designed body made it a favourite of drivers and a formidable rally car. The Fulvia Coupé went on to win the International Rally Championship for Manufacturers in 1972, and the HF versions remain among the most iconic Italian rally cars. The 1.3 S, introduced in the early 1970s, offered more power than the earlier versions.
This example is finished in burgundy red, which the seller describes as elegant, and is decorated with HF Corsa style rally decals and a yellow and blue stripe over the bonnet, roof and boot lid. The interior has black seats, a sporty wood-rimmed steering wheel and red carpets. According to the seller the car has a new TÜV inspection and is ready to drive. It is registered in Germany and is a pleasing example of the rally-inspired road coupés of the 1970s.
The photographs show the engine bay with its carburettors, the interior with front and rear seats, and the characteristic body with its slim pillars and large glass area. For lovers of Italian design and classic sporting motoring, the Fulvia Coupé is a distinctive and rewarding choice.
