The professional seller offers for sale this 1968 Suzuki M12, powered by a 50 cc single-cylinder two-stroke engine. In the 1960s Suzuki built a reputation for compact, lightweight two-stroke machines, and its small-capacity sports models brought motorcycle styling to the lightweight class. With a chrome tank, a sporty bench seat, a chrome silencer running along the right side and wire spoked wheels, this little Suzuki looks like a miniature full-size motorcycle, and such period lightweights are increasingly appreciated by collectors for their charm, compact size and simple engineering.
This example is finished in black with cream side covers, a chrome tank carrying the Suzuki emblem and rubber knee grips, and a black seat with the Suzuki name on the rear grab rail. It has a round chrome headlight, a speedometer in a black housing and a red tail lamp. The photos show the engine and its finned cylinder, the stamped engine number, the instrument, the seat, the exhaust and both wheels up close. According to the seller the machine still has to be started up, and bidders should plan accordingly. It comes with Canadian papers, and the seller states that all import duties and VAT have been paid.
