This historic school milieu is located just four kilometres from the upper mill and 18 km from Joensuu.The original school building from 1898 has been carefully updated to meet today's requirements. Last time it was completely renovated and expanded in the early 2000s. The main building has a floor area of 478.5 m2. It has four classrooms, a kitchen, a gym, toilet and shower facilities and a variety of storage rooms. One of the classrooms can be combined with the gymnasium to become a larger banquet room. The possibility of combining facilities also makes this subject unique for community activities and events as well as for diverse business activities. In addition to the main building, there is a smaller school building with, for example, technical work facilities, a normal classroom, apartment, reception room and technical facilities for the entire building, as well as an household building that is used in storage. There are various sports and playgrounds in the yard area. School activities ended at the end of the academic year 2025-2026.
