Edward IV, first reign, 1461-1470, AV Ryal, Light coinage, Coventry, type VI, im. sun. Struck 1465.
King standing in ship with sword and shield, rose on ship, C in waves beneath, rev. floriate cross with rose on sun at centre. Reads FRNC for FRANC in obverse legend. Large fleurs in spandrels on reverse. Trefoil stops. 7.62 g.
Schneider 421 - same obv. die; N.1551; S.1955.
Filed on edge and double struck on obverse. Otherwise Good VF.
Very rare of Coventry.
