Nadat door de Vierde Engelse Oorlog de aanvoer van Indische goederen stagneerde, zijn de kooplieden die tegen een recepis anticipatie-penningen hadden ingelegd gecompenseerd met obligaties, waarvoor de Staten van Holland zich in 1782 garant stelden. Bij loting werd bepaald welke obligaties elk jaar werden afgelost. Dit biljet, behorend bij zo'n obligatie, draagt lotnummer 19494. ‘Aflossing-billet’ for the lottery of bonds to be redeemed, that were issued in 1782 by the VOC to compensate unusable ‘anticipatie-penningen’. Printed in black, 190x152 mm, with stamped signature of J. Temminck - XF - extremely rare. NB. After the supply of goods from the East Indies stagnated due to the Fourth Anglo-Dutch War, the merchants who had invested anticipation tokens were compensated with bonds, for which the States of Holland acted as guarantor in 1782. It was determined by lottery which bonds were redeemed each year. This ticket, belonging to such a bond, bears lot number 19494.
