Vorzüglich) Thurium was a town located in the Gulf of Taranto, near Sibari. Its coinage evidently recalls the Athenian one, taking back the depiction of Athena and returning it to the style typical of Magna Grecia. The bull instead is a call to Sibari (of which it was the symbol) and is a reference to the Thuria Fountain, around which the city developed.
