Description

Highlights: – 1.3-litre air-cooled flat-four engine, petrol, 4-speed manual transmission – Volkswagen Beetle 1302 Cabriolet from the final year of the 1302 series – Finished in pastel green with a black soft top – Black interior with matching door panels and separate front seats The private seller offers for sale this 1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1302 Cabriolet, powered by a 1.3-litre air-cooled flat-four engine, paired with a manual transmission. Finished in pastel green with a black soft top, this open-top Beetle is a cheerful and instantly recognisable classic that is just as much at home on a sunny country lane as at a car show. The 1302 was introduced in 1970 as the more advanced version of the long-running Beetle. Its new MacPherson strut front suspension gave a larger luggage compartment under the bonnet and improved ride and handling, while the longer, more curved front end and the wider rear track set it apart from earlier cars. The Cabriolet, built by Karmann in Osnabrück, retained the Beetle’s charm and added the pleasure of open-air motoring, and its soft top folds down behind the seats. The air-cooled flat-four is simple, willing and easy to maintain, which has helped make the Beetle Cabriolet one of the most popular and accessible classics in the world. This example comes with a black interior with matching door panels and a pair of separate front seats. Chrome bumpers, steel wheels with chrome hub caps and the characteristic round headlights complete the period look. A Beetle Cabriolet of this kind offers an easy way into classic car ownership and the enjoyment of summer drives. Condition of the bodywork & paint 4 — Very Good. Clean with minimal wear; might need minor replacements for small missing or broken parts. Condition of the interior 4 — Very Good. Displays only minimal wear and can hit the road any time. Technical condition 4 — Very Good. Mechanically solid, with potential for minor servicing. Overall condition 4 — Very Good. Displays only minimal wear and can hit the road any time.
