POTTERY. Iranian Plateau Cultures, Baluchistani. 3,000-2,000 BCE. (11.5 cm tall x 10.5 cm diameter). Buff ceramic jar with rounded body encircled by horizontal ridges, short neck with slightly flared rim, and two loop handles on the shoulder. The fabric is coarse and thick‑walled, typical of Early Bronze Age production. The form is typical of Baluchistani storage vessels in particular. Very minor accretions and surface discoloring. Some faint chipping at rim/lip and some very minor accretions and surface discoloring. Otherwise intact and a fantastic example of the type. From the St. Croix Collection.
