POTTERY. Iranian Plateau Cultures. 3,000-2,000 BCE. (15.5 cm tall x 14 cm wide). Vessel formed in a stylized bird‑body silhouette with a paisley‑shaped body rising from a small, trumpeted foot. A wide, squat neck flares outward to a clean, flat lip, fully painted internally. A single handle runs from the base of the neck to mid‑body. The exterior is extensively decorated in red and black pigments with geometric motifs covering the entire surface. The painted surfaces are well preserved. Some light chipping at lip and base, otherwise intact and attractive. From the St. Croix Collection.
